.

Download Reading Record

Copies are also available at the library.

.

Bring your Reading Record to the library between Aug. 25 – Sept. 5th and a donation will be made to the Midcoast Conservancy for the construction and maintenance of hiking trails in the Liberty and Montville area. All ages can participate.

Judith Fischer – Oils

painting
“RW ‘RO’ BELL”

Judith Fischer, from Small Space Gallery in Hostile Valley in Liberty, is exhibiting her oil paintings at the library during July and August. She was born in Long Island, New York. As the fourth generation in a family of artists, she began painting as a small child. She continued her studies at the State University of New York at Fredonia.

.

Judith moved to Maine in 2002 and participated in various group shows and several local and national galleries. She has been an art instructor to both individuals and groups and was honored to serve as Artist-in-Residence at Merryspring Nature Reserve in Camden.

.

Growing up around boats and surrounded by water, it’s no surprise that this watery world is one of her favorite painting subjects. Judith is also a basketmaker and weaver presently in pictorial tapestry weaving where her latest series focuses on – what else – water!

.

Her paintings are for sale and she is generously donating 40% of her sales to the library.

Kyle Hauptman, a Financial Advisor, will present an educational program for people who have questions about Social Security for those nearing retirement, ages 55 and up, and those who already receive Social Security. He’ll help answer these questions:

  • How does Social Security fit into my retirement income plan?
  • When should I start taking benefits?
  • What about taxes?
  • What are the new changes in Social Security and how will affect me?

Zenbooth

Use our privacy booth for a quiet work space, virtual meetings, and phone calls. It is normally on a first-come basis, but if you would like to schedule its use for a meeting or telehealth appointment, call the library ahead of time, and we will reserve it for you. Generally the use time is 1-hour but that is flexible, especially if no one is waiting to use it. You may bring your own device or use the library’s laptop computer.
