Land Acknowledgment Statement

The towns that Liberty Library serves are on Indigenous land, the unceded homelands of the Wabanaki for thousands of years and into the present. Settlement caused physical and cultural harm to Native people through death, forced removal, and loss of land, with consequences that still remain today. As a library we hold an ongoing commitment to providing resources—books, media, and programs—that accurately tell the stories, amplify the voices, and inspire action for and with Indigenous people.
