The Liberty Library is in the heart of Liberty village in the old fire station. Find us on 59 Main Street, right beside Liberty Tool Company and across the road from Liberty Graphics and the Davistown Museum. And only 4 miles from John’s Ice Cream!
To get to Liberty, take Rt. 3 west from Belfast (17 miles) or east from Augusta (27 miles). Visitors utilizing Route 3 have two opportunities to turn off of the main road and travel the two miles to the village. Coming from Augusta, the turnoff is a right turn via Rt. 220. (The first major road after Lake St. George State Park.) Continue straight on Rt. 173 to Liberty village.
Coming from Belfast, visitors will go up Searsmont hill, pass an overlook with a nice view to the north then turn left on Trues Pond Rd. (old Route 3) opposite a state of Maine DOT sandlot. Go two miles to the village.
