Well, our yearly Pick-a-Prize Raffle is in the books! Thankfully, the rain held off so that we were able to hold both the raffle selling and the Ice Cream social without getting wet.
.
Thank you to everyone who came and bought tickets. Our sincere apologies for not checking to see if we had enough leftover sheet tickets in time to order more. Thank you to those who waited in a long line Saturday afternoon and had to write their names on the rolls of tickets. Thank you to the organizations who loaned us tickets when we ran out of rolls. Just so you know – 2000 sheet tickets have already been ordered for next year!
.
Even with the snafu, 258 sets of 25 tickets were sold. Many of the prizes were given out Saturday night and other winners were called and picked up Sunday morning. Only 9 prizes remain at the library to be picked up by the end of the week. There was only one known mix-up with a mistaken number.
Thank you all to the many individuals and businesses who donated prizes for the raffle. There were 127 prizes! This event would not be possible without your generosity.
.
We apologize to those who did not get an ice cream sandwich because we ran out. We had 75 but will order more for next year. Thank you to John’s Ice Cream for making the sandwich order.
.
Congratulations to Tricia Andrade the winner of the “Blooming Night” quilt. We will miss this colorful piece hanging in our library but happy that it will bring joy to someone.

This was our last fundraiser for the summer. Thank you for your support all summer and throughout the year.
