Fiber Arts Exhibit

Wanted: Fiber Art Projects for January and February.

Fiber artists employ techniques such as weaving, knotting, felting, and embroidery to create abstract, conceptual, or figurative pieces. Unlike traditional textile crafts, fiber art prioritizes artistic expression over utilitarian purpose.

Do you have a special project that you would like to share? For January and February, the library will have a Fiber Arts Exhibit. We want your projects to display. There is room for 8-10 hanging 2-D projects and the shelves will be available for smaller 3-D items or items that will be best displayed on a stand.

How do I participate?

  • Bring your item to the library between Dec. 29th & Jan. 2. Hanging items must have an attached hanger that will hang on a hook.
  • Attach a tag with your name, your items title (if it has one), what technique, and a brief history, if you want. These tags will be displayed with your item.
  • Accompanied by this filled out Exhibit Loan Agreement.

We ask that you share just 1 item, but if you wish to share more, note that on the Exhibit Loan Agreement so we can contact you if we need more artworks. We want to allow everyone who wants to participate to have the chance to do so. If we have too many items we can possibly switch them out after being on display for one month.
