Your library looks somewhat different. We ask for your patience and cooperation as we attempt to maintain a safe environment for everyone. Library programs will continue to be virtual at this time.
These are the requirements to come inside:
Patrons are asked to limit what they handle to items they intend to check out. If you touch a book, audio book, DVD, or other item and don’t check it out, place it in one of the labeled quarantine locations. Please bring minimal personal items into the library and avoid setting anything down. We will clean and disinfect high touch areas each day before opening but cannot guarantee a germ free environment. The bathroom will be closed to the public.
Public computer and printing are available. One patron at a time may use a public computer and it will be cleaned after each use. It is still $.25 a page for printing and copying. Exact change is appreciated. Wi-Fi is available both inside and outside the library. There is no password but you have to accept the library’s Acceptable Use Policy before being connected.
Children – While we love kids, please take these restrictions into consideration before bringing your children to the library. Every person counts toward the limit, regardless of age. Based upon the building size, there is a 5 person limit inside the library. Because of this, we request that one family member come into the building to pick items. If you choose to bring your children, those under 10 must be an arms distance away from parents at all times. Face coverings that cover the nose and mouth are required for children over age 2. Only 1 person/family at a time will be allowed in the Children’s Room. (Counts as the 4 patron total.) All of the toys and seating in the Children’s Room have been removed.
Continue to do your browsing from home via the online catalog:
- ‘Search the Catalog‘.
- Login to ‘My Library Account’ (Email me or call if you need to know your number.)
- Search for item and √ Request
Requests should be made at least the day before. Day-of requests will be filled as time allows. Interlibrary loan is still not available but you are able to borrow items from our collection. You will no longer be called when your requests are ready, but you will get an email if you have that option. For those who prefer to continue with no-contact service, curbside pick-up will continue during this phase.
We are following the state reopening guidelines in order to reopen, but you should be aware that there is some risk inherent in using shared spaces with shared materials. We cannot guarantee a perfectly safe space.
Please contact me if you have problems or questions or unable to pick-up during the library’s open hours.
