Build a Better World

This summer’s reading theme is Build a Better World. Pick up a Summer Reading Calendar at the library or print the Calendar2017.

Every day that you read for at least 30 minutes, make a mark on that date on your calendar. You can read the book yourself or have the book read aloud to you. Return this to the library by September 5th. There will be prizes for everyone who has at least 40 days marked off.

Story Time – Thursday at 10:30am
Many of the Story Times this summer will connect with the Build a Better World theme. The books and activities are selected for children 3-5 years but older and younger are welcome. See schedule: StoryTimeSummer2017

Mark your calendars now for Mad Science – Engineering a Better World on Friday, July 21, 6:30 at Walker School. Captivating demonstrations and interactive experiments will inspire the next generation to think about how engineers design things to make the world a better place.

The Summer Reading Program is made possible by Revision Energy, Pieceworks, Inc., Mike Light’s Automotive, Liberty Graphics, Belfast Framers, Jen Spencer, Bob Price, and a grant from the Rose and Samuel Rudman Trust Fund.
