April is National Poetry Month

Two limericks this week.
There is a Red Sox game today
But some fans can’t get to Fenway.
But with my radio near
Plugged into my ear.
I’ll be cheering them on in the old way!

There is a Red Sox game today
But some fans can’t get to Fenway.
Chris Sale will be pitchin’
And fans will be bitchin’.
How I wish I was part of the fray.

It finally feels like springtime in Maine so the limerick prompt for this week recognizes that feeling. Finish the limerick and either leave it at the library desk or send to brehmeyer@liberty.lib.me.us by April 29th. The best poem(s) will be posted at the library and on the library webpage the following week.

In springtime, according to plan
The fancies of every young man
